Title: Redeemed by Power from Egypt

Bible Study Session 12

Redeemed by Power from Egypt
Exodus 13:17 – 15:21

Once again, scripture reinforces the truth that the firstborn has been judged and that the only way it can live is to be redeemed by the lamb. It should also be pointed out that the ass is a type and shadow of unregenerated man. The Israelites were either to redeem every firstling of an ass or to break its neck. (Ex. 13:13)

Title: Fear Not

“Fear Not”
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7

God calls each of us to engage in spiritual warfare at times. Whenever satan wants to come against one of God’s children, he does so by trying to intimidate through fear…

Title: Getting Off to a Good Start
Date: September 1, 2010

Getting Off To a Great Start Many of us spent the summer refreshing, rejuvenating and restoring ourselves. We visited friends, enjoyed family and spent valuable time hearing from God. Now, we are enthusiastically ready for service and ministry, awaiting the great manifestation of God both in our lives and in the Body of Christ. We are ready to get off to a Great Start. Our back-packs are ready, filled with our Bibles, Prayer Journals, Pens, and Praise Logs. We have books, pencils, pens and paper all in anticipation of being used by the Lord. We are seeking new opportunities for training and increasing the skills that we have in our spiritual toolbox so that we can be better disciples for Jesus Christ. Our toolboxes have been dusted off, prayed over and await the inner filling of the Holy Spirit who promises to lead and guide us so that we can indeed be His instruments in a dark, struggling and dying world. We’re all geared up, prepared and ready to get off to a great start.

Date: March 3, 2010

As we enter the Passion Season where we remember and focus on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, I pray that we will learn to live like He lived. So much emphasis is placed on His dying and I’m afraid that we don’t place enough emphasis on His living. He lived a life of passion. And you and I need to learn to live a life of passion. In fact, everything that Jesus did, He did with passion.

Jesus was passionate even in the choice of His coming…
